A SAFER WAY TO ORGANIZE SHOPIFY CATALOGS
Separate product listings.
One structured variant family.
Variant Merger helps Shopify teams find listings that represent the same base product, inspect their options, SKUs, images, and inventory, then prepare one reviewable parent product with a variant for every unique option combination. The current development release is deliberately read-only.
Connect
Authenticate through Shopify OAuth and read the store catalog with the minimum required read-only permissions.
Detect
Compare model codes, normalized titles, product options, and attributes to suggest listings that belong to the same family.
Review
See every source product and option combination together, including SKU and inventory, without changing Shopify.
Plan safely
Map each unique combination—such as Color × Size or Material × Finish—to a planned variant before any write is enabled.
WORKS ACROSS PRODUCT TYPES
Options define the variants—not the category.
Shoes and clothing are common examples, but the same workflow can organize any product family with consistent options and reliable identifiers.
SAFETY PRINCIPLES
Clarity before automation.
- Zero silent changesNo product or inventory mutation is enabled in this phase.
- Human approvalSuggested families remain suggestions until a merchant reviews them.
- Preserve store dataSKU, inventory, media, metadata, and redirects remain tied to the correct option combination.
- Traceable operationsDry-run results and audit records are designed to explain every step.
PRODUCT STATUS
Real catalog reading is active. Production merging is not.
Shopify OAuth, encrypted session storage, product reading, and smart family suggestions are the current focus. The merge and rollback engines remain under controlled development.
